Reflection
Composing these texts, I was AI-assisted in the planning and execution phase. With both those phases, I used AI to augment my writing and ideas. This was done by prompting my overall vision for the writing sample, the ideas in that sample that I wished to emphasize, and aspects I thought were underemphasized in previous iterations.
Looking at the samples, I solidified my understanding of the requirements different genres needed. For example, before this class, I wasn't aware of the technicalities and context needed to write Product Briefs and Internal Memos. With what I learned, I'm able to write stylistically correct memos and contribute more to product briefs (product briefs are more of an engineering-marketing collaboration). In doing so, I learned that AMD's audience is primarily technical audiences, with an emphasis on engineers and product managers. In terms of reader-centered writing, all writing was concise and got to the point, which I found was a big foundation of reader-centered writing.
